Getting involved

Hey, everybody! Let me just start off by saying, “IT’S FRIDAY!” I’m so ready for the week to be over and just take some time and relax a little bit. I don’t know about all of you, but I have acquired a little stack of homework that isn’t going to do itself.

I’ve been trying this thing, where I select something new to try every week to better myself. Last week it was hitting the gym at least three times, which I can say proudly that I have done (pat on the back is required)! This week I set out to try and find an extracurricular activity to occupy some of my time during the week.

I’m sure that everyone has traveled through the Quad at least once since arriving on campus. If you haven’t, you might want to make a trip sometime to see all the different things going on down there. The past few weeks, it’s been nothing but fraternity and sorority tents, but now that Rush Week is winding down, I think a lot more of the organizations on campus will start to make their way out. I’ve been handed fliers for community service sororities, bike riding clubs, bible studies, and so much more. It’s always a surprise when you make your way through the crowds, because you’re always met with something unique. Continue reading
