This morning I woke up and had a minor freak out. I felt like I had so many things to do and didn’t know where to start. Between having to read chapters for my classes, getting school supplies and all the other things that I need to do, it felt impossible. I managed to calm myself down and really figure out the things that I had to do. Day two didn’t have a great start, but I managed to get myself together before my trek to the Hines Academic Center. My first class today didn’t start until 12:30, so I had time to sleep in, which was awesome. I was really excited for this class because it was Intro To Mass Communications, which is the field that I want to go in. I had heard nothing but great things about my professor, Ms. Fluker, and they were ALL RIGHT. She is funny, cool and is really excited about what she teaches which makes it even better. I can already tell that I am really going to enjoy her class.
Writing to Change the World course is also going to be a very interesting course. It’s offered through the Honors College, which I am very happy to be a part of. In this course, I will get the opportunity to volunteer with organizations around San Marcos and write about them. It’s not like any other course that I have taken, so it will be something new.
Even though today started out a little rough, it taught me that I have to continue to learn how to juggle all of my responsibilities. I am really excited to see what I learn from my classes this year. Just one more day closer to the three-day weekend!
